Best Wine Blog For You

Living in Southeast Washington, in the heart of Wine Country, even with AVA's everywhere within an hours drive, trying certain wines from wineries can be a challenge.  With the internet readily available, getting sought after wines can be made easier.  I find that I learn more about new wines and wineries from reading wine blogs and articles on the net. The hands on reporting makes it easier to discern which wine to buy and make my own judgement.  I've been fortunate enough to find a wine-blog that I consider probably the most informative Washington wine related site on the web. "Washington Wine Report"  provides reviews, previews, interesting stories, insights, links to other blogs and other wine detailing reports.  Sean P. Sullivan is the person responsible for WWR and the his goals for it are "Washington Wine Report is an independent blog focused on bringing Washington wine to you and bringing you to Washington wine. Our goal is:
  • To help you select Washington wines at a variety of price levels
  • To keep you up-to-date about the state’s wineries, vineyards, and individuals
  • To help you plan trips to wine country
  • To connect you to the larger wine community"
And he achieves it on all counts. Sean has created an all-in-one site that pretty much has the Washington scene covered from Puget Sound to Walla Walla. His contacts within the winery business opens up "behind the counter" views you won't get. I actually have only one blog booked-marked. It's Washington Wine Report. From his site you can get to other blogs and wine-zines, several thousands at last count.  Well maybe not that many, but more than you'll ever need to look at. The ones I've linked to are always giving me new ideas to try. You can follow on Twitter and Facebook. His Virtual Tastings are a monthly event where you taste and comment on a wine in real time with him and others. You can find links to a majority of wineries throughout the state, with tastings and ratings for many wines. I particularly enjoy the comment sections of his postings. The repartee from followers is fact filled and leads me into directions I wasn't aware of.

If you are new or experienced in the area of wine, find Washington Wine Report.  You won't be disappointed.
